What has surprised you most about yourself since starting at UTD? I realized my capability of balancing my academics, my social life, and my daily responsibilities all at once. I was surprised by how effectively I could manage my time thanks to useful resources, like Google Calendar, and sheer determination.
One thing you HAD to bring with you to college: I had to bring my tenor saxophone! I love music composition and have avidly pursued band since the 5th grade. All my years of experience especially came in handy when I went to Comet Camp my freshman year and played Africa by Toto at the Talent Show.
Why did you become a Student Ambassador? I became a Student Ambassador because I wanted to give back to the university that has allowed me to pursue my dreams and take on new challenges. Getting to work with such motivated, kind-hearted individuals has helped me stay focused on my goals and my aspirations for the future!
Plans after graduation: After graduating with my master’s degree in marketing in 2024, I hope to find a prominent position in the entertainment marketing field. While I am still deciding whether to continue residing in Dallas or to return to my hometown of Las Vegas, Nevada, I hope to continue to stay involved in a field where I am happy and continuously passionate about making a difference in the lives of those around me.
