Why did you become a Student Ambassador?
I became a Student Ambassador because it gave me a path to use my skills of mentorship, educating, & event planning (skills I learned from other organizations) for the good of the most number of UTD students. Whether it was setting up nets for Oozeball or providing information and food at our resource events, Student Ambassadors is always capable of reaching out to the UTD community & provide positive results to the most amount of students.
Campus Involvement: UEMR, Freshman Mentor Program, Neuroscience of Pain Research Volunteer, Model UN, First Year Leader
What has surprised you most about yourself since starting at UTD?
The variety of experiences that are provided for students. Meeting students from different walks of life introduced me to opportunities that interested them and even if I wasn’t capable of achieving it at the moment, UTD showed me a way to grow into the person that could achieve.
Favorite UTD Tradition: Oozeball
Interesting Fact About This Ambassador: I stopped watching movies completely from the age of 4 to 5.
