What has surprised you the most about yourself since starting at UTD? My ability to push myself beyond what I thought I was capable of. It’s always a pleasant surprise to see that I’ve been able to overcome challenges that I thought would be impossible to navigate at the time.

One thing you HAD to bring with you to college: As a commuter, I have to bring a slew of things from different changes of clothes to emergency snacks just in case. An absolute must, however, was a pillow and a blanket for naps in between classes.

Why did you become a Student Ambassador? I chose to become an Ambassador because I wanted to feel closer to my alma mater and be more involved in the university that shaped me. Because of COVID, I feel like I missed a lot of experiences and opportunities. I wanted to be closer to the heartbeat of our community.

Plans after graduation: After graduation, I hope to either go to physician assistant school or complete a master’s in public health.
